Portland hip-hop unites to support Standing Rock at the Eagles Lodge

If the rumors are true, time may be ticking on the East Portland Eagles Lodge as it sits in it’s current location on SE 50th and Hawthorne- one of the last stalwarts of a better time in the city of Portland.
There are rumors swirling that the Lodge may accept an offer on their property, take their money and find less expensive pastures to set up shop in. The real estate market may never be as lucrative and its hard to say no to millions of dollars.
BUT if that is indeed the case, the combined power of Portland’s hip-hop community delivering a show for the ages should bring memories which will last a lifetime.
Tonight’s event is a fundraiser for the water protectors at Standing Rock- originally scheduled for last Wednesday but cancelled due to weather conditions.
Hosted by former mayoral candidate Jessie Sponberg, comic Laci Daze and DJ Lady X, the line-up boast some of the most powerful talent in the city and beyond. Acts like Mic Crenshaw, Bad Habitat and Mighty are household names in Portland, while emcees like Talilo and Quincy Davis are quickly advancing in the public eye, especially considering their recent efforts to help with the water crisis in Flint Michigan.
